Information for Guests

Jim and Carol seek to provide guests with North Dakota hospitality and warmth.

For the Security, Comfort and Privacy of our Registered Guests, we cannot give tours or allow unregistered visitors on the second and third floors.  Our rooms are for two guests only.

Parking at The Dakotah Rose:

This map indicates parking spots available on the grounds.  There are two spots available on the east side of the front lawn; two spots on the south side of the Carriage House and three to four spots in front of the Carriage House.   For anyone pulling a trailer or with a larger vehicle, please plan to park on the street in front of The Dakotah Rose.   Please don’t park on the lawn or on the loop.  Thank you!

Guest Children (12 years of age and older) can be registered guests.  A parent must accompany them at all times.  Their presence must be approved in advance.  Our rooms are designed for two person occupancy.  If you prefer to have your child in your room, there will be an additional room charge of $75 (we will provide the air mattress).

Sorry—No Pets!  Please call Sterling Kennels at  (701) 852-6379  or  Best Pet Boarding at (701) 852-6413 for boarding your pets.

Check-in:  4:00-6:00 PM. We open at 4:00 PM.  Please call if you are going to be late to assure someone will be available when you arrive.  If you are early, please arrange in advance to leave your bags before having access to your room. 

•   Early check-in:  A $10 per hour fee will apply to Early Check-ins with access to room prior to 4:00 pm.  This must be arranged for in advance.

•      Check-out:  10:30 AM Monday through Saturday and 10:00 AM on Sunday.

•   Early Departure Fee: From the original reservation, a 50% fee will apply on unused original length of stay on early departures.

 
Payments, Cancellations and Refunds:  Bed and breakfasts are greatly affected by cancellations.  Others are turned away when you agree to rent a room or rooms.  Thus, we have established a fair payment policy.

•          Reservations are guaranteed by Visa or MasterCard. 
•          If you cancel 14 days or more from your scheduled arrival date for a single room rental   or 30 days or more from your scheduled arrival date for two or more room rentals, a $30 per room cancellation fee applies and will be applied to your credit card. 
•          If you cancel one to thirteen days prior to your scheduled arrival date, your credit card will be charged for the full amount of the room.  If the room is re-rented, you will receive a room gift certificate to be used within one year.
•          None of the above applies to contracts signed for long-term lodging.

Candles:  Sorry, no candles may be used in the bedrooms or the third floor ballroom. 

Rates and Prices are subject to a 10% state and local lodging tax.  Prices may vary for holiday, sports or concert dates.  Rates are guaranteed for three months from date of rental, thereafter prices are subject to change without notice.

Gift Certificates are available and valid for 1 year for the amount of purchase—after price increase added.  Gift certificates are redeemable for stated purpose only.

Smoke-free:  We are a smoke-free facility.  A charge of $250 will be added to your room charge if you choose to smoke in your room.  Outdoor smoking is restricted to your vehicle only.

Please note the following:

• Not responsible for theft or damage to personal property.

• Changing Rooms:  If a guest desires to change rooms (to experience another atmosphere), a $10 fee will be charged.  We suggest lodging with us another time to experience a different room!
  
  
  
• Dietary Restrictions:  Please notify us three days in advance if you have a dietary restriction.  We will do our best to meet your needs!
